The CATREDOX Group at the Institute of Chemical Technology (ITQ, UPV-CSIC) is led by Professor José Manuel López Nieto and Dr. Patricia Concepción. Their work focuses on the rational design of heterogeneous catalysts, combining controlled synthesis with advanced spectroscopies, structural characterization techniques, and detailed kinetic studies. The group's main objective is to establish clear relationships between structure and catalytic activity, enabling the optimization of processes relevant to the chemical industry and the development of more sustainable technologies.
Mission
To advance the rational design of heterogeneous catalysts through the integration of advanced spectroscopy, state-of-the-art characterization, and kinetic studies, in order to establish clear structure–activity relationships and develop efficient catalytic solutions for sustainable chemical processes.
